Bruce Banner has been kidnapped by Emil Blonsky, one of Thunderbolt Ross’ boys. OH, NO! Blindfolded, bound, and knocked out cold, he’s been thrown in the back seat of a gray ’68 Dodge Dart. But this is not just any Dart! It’s the legendary Hurst 426 Hemi Dart, one of only one hundred ever made. Thinking he has secured Bruce in the back seat, Emil peels out, the 426 Hemi roaring to life. Awakening to the growl of the engine, Bruce’s anxiety at being kidnapped quickly turns to rage! As Bruce begins to Hulk out, his enormous, green body fills the car, and his arms and head have nowhere to go but out! BAM!
Trapped in the Dart, it’s only a matter of time before The Hulk rips the whole thing apart, shredding it and Blonsky into scrap.

GENERAL INFO & CRITERIA
(summary at the bottom of this section)
1. The “car” in Cosplay Cars refers to ALL VEHICLES, including motorcycles, boats, trucks, SUVs and UFOs. If you can spin it, you might win it!
2. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this is a “virtual” competition, meaning there will be no in-person component. With so many festivals and comic conventions canceled in 2020, we created this for those who have already prepared a vehicle that they were planning to showcase at another event, but can’t! Your vehicle can fit into our multiple categories, including “concept cars”, or you might want to build something entirely new and fresh for this competition. Post COVID-19, this will be a live event!
3. All entries are to be accompanied by their backstory. Your back story is of utmost importance; please share why you chose the design and what it means to you. Consider some of these prompts when writing your backstory:
4. Please submit back up showing your creative process, including diagrams, time or money invested, etc. Send us anything that might work in your favor! When submitting back up, all mediums are welcome (videos, photos, excel spreadsheets, notes on a napkin, etc.) These materials must be submitted to be eligible for judging.
5. You may get unlimited help from your friends! Please include the names of those who help so they to can get credit for their contribution.
6. There will be three winners in each of the four categories, so 12 winners total! See “prizes” for details.
7. No nudity, offensive language, or inappropriate gestures. Love and positive vibes welcome!
8. The contest will be held from August 1st through October 1st, 2020.

JUDGING CRITERIA
1. Visual impact
Our judges will experience your creation through a photo or video, and will ask themselves “does this creation evoke an emotional reaction? Does it make me feel something? Do I get goosebumps? Am I visibly shocked or impressed? Do I keep coming back to look again?”
2. Skill
Your skill will show in every phase of your creation, from planning and engineering to execution, and the backup you choose to provide should serve to demonstrate this.
3. Mobility
Vehicles must be mobile. A non-running “roller” vehicle must be able to be steered and rolled. We would prefer a drivable car if possible but will accept “rollers” that can be steered. This is specific to categories 1-3 but excludes category 4.
Please note that judges will give consideration to those who re-purpose materials in their builds. Please provide back up of the materials you used and the process as well. We all have a responsibility to the planet we call home.
